Ouzo is an independent label which gathers under its wings various musicians, djs and visual artists. Founded by Ian Lampel and Martin Teysera in the year 2004, it has evolved into an artistic collective which strives to distribute, spread and promote its music (be it through digital or physical editions), organize live shows and installations in different enviroments and scenarios, generate links with like-minded individuals or institutions and last but not least, support any kind of activity inside its field of influence which may generate positive effects. With its base of operations in Montevideo, Uruguay, the collective/label has set as its basic goal the promotion of all its artists, not only inside its home country, but specially internationally.

Ouzo doesnt tie itself to any particular genre, mantaining a healthy musical diet based entirely on its own taste. The different options you will find under our seal will only share a taste for good music, without distinctions of style or execution.

Ouzo is also known for the usage of non conventional public spaces to present its artists and events: all kinds of open and closed spaces, parks and even a castle and an observatory are some of the venues we have invaded, combining musicians with artists from other media and trying to integrate the event completely with our surroundings.
